How to write a credible fight opportunity

The details a promoter should publish so suitable fighters and coaches can respond without a long chain of guesswork.

A credible listing is specific, honest about what is confirmed and clear about who remains responsible for approval. Good information attracts better enquiries and makes unsuitable approaches easier to reject.

01

Identify the event

Give the event name, date, venue or town, promoter identity and contact route. State whether the event is confirmed, awaiting approval or searching provisionally. Never imply affiliation or sanctioning that has not been granted.

02

Describe the opening precisely

Create a separate opening for each genuinely distinct need.

  • Discipline and exact ruleset
  • Weight range and official category where known
  • Age category and any permitted age parameters
  • Competition level and requested experience
  • Rounds, duration and protective equipment
  • Application deadline, expenses or purse information
  • Whether coach approval is required
03

Explain the checks

Say what evidence will be requested privately and who will approve the pairing. Do not ask fighters to post medical documents or personal ID publicly. Relevant membership, record, medical and suspension checks belong in the secure process used by the responsible body.

04

Keep it current

Close an opening immediately when it is filled, the event is cancelled or the criteria change. Contact people who have already applied when a material detail changes. An old open listing damages trust and wastes everyone’s time.
